Caterbirds is a catering specialist based in Dumfries and Galloway. Founded in 1980 we are a family run business providing exquisite food and a personal service to create a bespoke catering event. Caterbirds was created by James and Del Wilson Walker and their daughter Rosemary and is now owned and managed by their son Peter. He was only twelve years old when the enterprise was started, and was brought up with the smells and flavours of a busy working-farm kitchen. It was in those early days that he started enjoying and learning all about traditional British cooking, and started experimenting with tastes and textures, adding a modern touch and embracing innovative ideas. The addition to the family of his Spanish wife, Marisa, has also had an impact on his cuisine, adding fresh flavours inspired by authentic, traditional Mediterranean recipes. Caterbirds also brings in its own experienced and dedicated staff whose ambitions are the total success of every event.
Although we are based in Dumfries and Galloway we offer our catering services in others regions of Scotland and North of England. Some areas catered for include Scottish Borders, Cumbria, Northumberland, etc. But we also travel further to other regions including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scottish Highlands.
